Introducing: Website Monitoring

May 14, 2025

Most platforms check a merchant's website only when they are onboard. But that's not enough

Risk doesn’t just exist at sign-up—continuous monitoring is essential throughout a merchant's relationship.

We’ve been helping customers screen merchant websites for years. Now we’re officially announcing it: Website Monitoring is now part of the Coris Risk Platform - available via API and our no-code portal.

This includes something brand new:

Paywalled content screening.

Yes, we automate that too.

Why it matters

When a platform onboards a merchant, they’re on the hook - financially and reputationally - for what that merchant does.

❌ Selling restricted goods or services
❌ Violating network rules
❌ Being deceptive or violating laws

Even if it happens later, or behind a login screen, the risk is real.

Card networks (Visa, Mastercard), sponsor banks, and regulators all mandate ongoing monitoring. And if they find a violation before you do, it’s often too late - fines, clawbacks, and reputational damage follow.

What we’re launching

Coris now makes it easy to monitor merchant websites continuously, not just at onboarding.

✅ Keyword-based scanning: flag exact matches like “CBD” or “escort”
✅ Topic-based scanning: detect related content (even if the keywords are masked)
✅ Custom policies: define your own restricted terms or categories
✅ Scheduled alerts: daily, weekly, monthly - you choose
✅ API-ready: integrate scanning into your onboarding or monitoring workflows

We also added alerting for domain changes, content updates, and more—so you know if a merchant quietly pivots into riskier territory.

Industry-first: Paywall Screening

One of the biggest blind spots in website monitoring?

What happens after login.

Think:

  • Dating sites that pivot into adult services
  • Subscription platforms that violate content policies
  • High-risk merchants hiding prohibited offerings behind member-only access

Card networks are now requiring platforms to screen what’s behind the paywall, not just the public-facing site.

We’ve built the industry’s first fully automated paywall website monitoring system.

Our system can log in automatically - at scale - and screen member-only pages for restricted content, missing age checks, or other violations.

It’s fully integrated. No manual work. No one else is doing this.

Powered by AI Agents

Monitoring at scale means alerts - sometimes lots of them. And not every flag requires action.

That’s why we’re starting to roll out AI agents to help review alerts, score relevance, and clear false positives before they even hit your queue.

The result:
✅ Fewer noisy alerts
✅ Cleaner queues
✅ Faster responses from risk teams

It’s one more way Coris helps teams work smarter, not harder.

What’s next

We’re not stopping here.

Coming soon:

  • Broader scanning beyond websites - think social media and content platforms
  • Additional behavioral signals to strengthen flag accuracy
  • Expanding to more geographies and content types

We believe merchant risk is dynamic.

And the tools to monitor it should be too.

Final thoughts

Website monitoring is one of those things that seems simple - until you scale.

We’ve been solving it quietly for years. Now we’re making it official.

If you’re a Coris customer, you already have access.
